To enroll in a class, please follow the instructions below.

You can register for a RiderCourse by following the four easy steps listed below. Please be sure to read through the entire four-step process before sending in your application.

Step 1: Download and Print the RiderCourse Application


Step 2: Fill out the Application and Select the class you want from the list below.

NOTE: Be sure to select an alternate class in case your first choice is full (classes are enrolled from applications received on a first-come first-serve basis. Full classes will be removed from the list as they become full.)

2008 Basic RiderCourse Classes

Class Locations: We will be training in Topeka only. We will not be teaching classes at El Dorado, Independence or Dodge City. We hope you will visit us in Topeka and take a class with us.

Although class status is updated frequently, some classes may be full that are not listed as such. Please list an alternate date to ensure enrollment into a RiderCourse.

2008 Spring Experienced RiderCourse Classes

The Experienced RiderCourse is a one day, 8 hour long class. You provide your own bike. You must have your motorcycle endorsement and proof of insurance.

  • Call or E-mail your interest so we can schedule classes.

Classes must have at least 6 students enrolled to be held. You will be notified if a class will be cancelled do to lack of enrollment.


Step 3: Send Your Application and a Personal Check or Money order to SMART, Inc.

optionally, you can fill out the application on your computer and attach it to an email and send it to smart@smartbiker.org

NOTE: If you bring your enrollment application to the address listed above, please leave it in the mail slot by the front entrance. SMART office hours are after 5:30 pm. There will be no one to assist you in person before 5:30 pm.


Step 4: Wait to Receive Confirmation of Enrollment from SMART

Once SMART receives your application and payment, you will be enrolled in your primary or alternate choice of classes if they are still available. You will receive a confirmation of enrollment via e-mail or postal mail.

You will receive a reminder of your upcoming class two weeks prior to your class date. This reminder will contain directions to your training site, and a reminder of what to bring to class.

If you've completed steps 1-3 above, then you're done! Sit back and relax while we receive your application and notify you of your enrollment status!


About Refunds

A full refund will be issued to students giving more than a 14 day notice. A 25% processing fee will be charged on cancellations 14 to 7 days prior to the course date.

Upon attending a SMART Motorcycle Rider Education Course, regardless of student status at anytime during the course (PASS, FAIL, or INCOMPLETE) there will be absolutely no refunds.
